With TCP IP gone, that means you won’t be able to play with a buddy or three locally with mods. Otherwise just befriend someone that participates in dclone hunting, I’m sure one will be nice enough to give you an IP. Lanning it up with Diablo II was major for a lot of fans back in 2000. And JSP dclone groups have already amassed an insane amount of annis in D2R… Most groups only need 2 SoJs for you to join & get an IP, I think that is pretty reasonable when a lot of people here want dclone to spawn after selling just 1 SoJ (the way it is on offline/sp). Plenty of private bots already exist and I can only assume some private dupes are out there too. For a full time botter running multiple bots, it is very easy to rack up SoJs so duping wasn’t the only way… Also 2006-2010 was D2’s peak, so lots of players in general… player base in the 2010s dwindled away quite a bit especially after D3/PoE came out…Ĭonsidering this is the same game coding, I can only bet that rampant duping & botting will eventually make its way with D2R. Sure, duping was part of it, it was also JSP being able to organize dclone groups & being able to sell/buy loads of sojs and part of it was botting too.
